Fun Fact: How do you pronounce “Keyes”? The European version says it rhymes with “eyes” (take off the “k”), while many of the US descendants pronounce it as “keeze”, like your car keys. When the re-dedication of the Civil War veteran Edward Keyes grave marker at the Hillside Cemetery in Westford, which occurred in 2012, folks pronounced it both ways. Q: Where’s your favorite place to be in Westford?
A: I probably would say sitting on my deck looking at Keyes Pond and the woods, nature and the birds. I was fortunate enough to get into Pilgrim Village when they were building it, and my condo is way down at the end and it’s surrounded by woods and a great view of the pond. It’s just like being out in nature.
